Screwed up..

The feeling when you drop the box with all your stainless screws… 😦

The Land shark

Today I built a test-rig to test the sail setups and to experiment with angels and more. Tested out two main sails, my jib and the Code0. Worked out better than expected. But a lot to tweak.

The Polyurethane fail

I have started to build the ama hulls with polyurethane 10mm sheets. It was easy work with but felt very fragile. In class we got a really good diagram what core material is good and what’s not. You can clearly see that I have used wrong core. To not spend more time and money to build a breaking structure I have ordered 20m2 divinycell H60 15mm and will start over with that 🙂

No slack

This week’s school was all about efficient sail plan, what is fast what’s a nono. Summary. More is more. Higher sail plan is better. Jib make a enormous difference. Rotating mast is awesome. Carbon is better if you can afford it. Masted is better than 7/8 but not practical at all.
