Hi Cristopher, I’ve been watching your videos for a couple years, they are very well done. I built a small trimaran from a 16 ft touring kayak and DIY amas, it’s been a lot of fun. Not quite as fast as yours though.
We also landsail and ice sail, been doing it for 20 years or so. The ice season is coming to a close here in Colorado.
Looking at the Icelaw, I have one suggestion. You might consider moving the pivot point on your blades back so that the front of the blade can ride up over bumps on the ice without digging in the back end of the blade. When I make my blades the pivot point is about 25% ahead of the back end.
Thanks Rick! Glad you liked my videos! Good to hear you built a trimaran as well. Any photos?
This will be my first sail on land. It could work or be an epic fail. Whatever it will be, I will film it 🙂 About your suggestion, I would do it if I had the time. Will try if it works anyway.
Christofer, (sorry about misspelling your name before), there is a video of it on my youtube channel.
I hope it’s an epic success, if not it will be a learning experience. I look back at my early rigs and am amazed they even worked. As you have experienced in your boatbuilding adventures, it’s all about the journey.

Looking forward to seeing the Icelaw in action!
